º£½ÇÉçÇø Faculty Association
º£½ÇÉçÇø is committed to achieving a negotiated agreement with the º£½ÇÉçÇø Faculty Association (DFA). Over the last two months the university has had productive conversations with the DFA bargaining team on a variety of topics including workload, CPP, pension, and supports for online teaching. In addition, we provided the DFA with updated enrolment statistics during our August 17 session.
The bargaining teams have met six times throughout July and August with the most recent meeting being August 31. Four additional dates have been scheduled in the fall term as follows:
- Friday, September 18
- Friday, September 25
- Friday, September 29
- Saturday, September 30
NSGEU
º£½ÇÉçÇø has not yet formally met with the NSGEU bargaining team. The university is working on securing dates as soon as possible.
Notice to bargain was provided to NSGEU Local 77 and Local 99 in May. A joint proposal was shared with NSGEU and DFA leadership June 17, 2020. Since then, we have formally provided options for bargaining dates with our NSGEU colleagues on three separate occasions and are awaiting confirmation of scheduled dates. We are committed to a timely and successful round of collective bargaining with our NSGEU colleagues and look forward to beginning the process.
