Dr. Oluwadamilare Akingbade is a community health nursing specialist and global nurse consultant whose research focuses on improving health outcomes for women and other underserved populations through digitally enabled, equity-focused nursing interventions. His work examines mobile health and AI-enabled tools to support self-management, psychosocial well-being, and access to care among populations experiencing structural and social inequities, using rigorous methodologies including randomized controlled trials, mixed-methods research, systematic reviews, qualitative inquiry, cross-sectional surveys, and the development and evaluation of complex interventions.
Student volunteers may support ongoing and upcoming projects through activities such as literature reviews, data cleaning and analysis, knowledge translation outputs, research coordination, and support for ethics applications and grant development. He is particularly interested in working with students who wish to develop research skills, gain exposure to digital health and AI, and contribute meaningfully to community- and patient-centred nursing research.
