The Faculty of Agriculture is built on a history of industry-leading education and research – a standard we’ve upheld since 1905. Our unique programs combine the core disciplines of agricultural sciences with business management and innovative technology, providing our students with a robust education. With a working farm and almost 1,000 hectares of research fields, labs, and greenhouses, agriculture students take what they learn in the classroom to the field.

Increasing financial support for students

With your support of the Faculty of Agriculture, we can cultivate an inclusive environment with more equitable opportunities for students who might not otherwise be able to access postsecondary education. Your gift will help expand access to education through scholarship support for Indigenous students and students from other under-represented backgrounds, so that they have access to the same opportunities as their peers.

An experimental vegetable production market farm, SUSTAIN by Cultiv8 seeks to build a culture of innovative, food-secure, climate-responsible horticulture at ��’s Truro campus. SUSTAIN provides students with the opportunity to build competencies in innovation and entrepreneurship while creating more sustainable businesses across Nova Scotia.
