Audio Visual Services
What We Do
The ITS Classroom Technologies support team’s primary responsibility is to provide audio-visual (AV) technology support for teaching activities within university classrooms.
AV technology support is also offered for conferences and events using existing technology in university spaces. A minimum of two weeks' notice must be provided.
Support is provided in common pool and locally managed classrooms, university spaces, and limited exterior campus areas (e.g. Studley Quad). Support is not provided off campus.
Support is provided by ITS Classroom Technology Full-Time Support Staff as well as a team of Student Support Staff.
Who We Support
AV support services are provided to internal university groups (faculty, staff and ratified student societies), as well as external organizations using campus facilities for conferences and events.
Technology Available
Common pool classrooms: ITS Technology Support Services equipped and maintained rooms that meet the needs of current teaching practices. They are equipped with one of three standard technology packages.
Locally managed classrooms: These rooms are not managed by ITS Technology Support Services, and the technology offered varies. Users must verify what is available with the room owner and ensure it meets their needs before booking the room for an event.
Loan equipment: Limited range of equipment that can be loaned for use in locations not equipped with AV equipment. Loan equipment can only be used for academic purposes and cannot be taken off campus.
Note: Users with technology needs beyond the standard configuration will be expected to utilize external vendors to meet their needs.
